Turn your Mind to InnerSelf

Turn your mind "Sourceward". Meditate on the consummation of life. Otherwise,  life is just a futile process. Examine the so-called offerings of life that people run after so madly. Gradually, you will question the value of the conventional things of life. Begging at the door of sense objects,  you will never fill your begging bowl. What is a penny worth of you have a million?  What is the loss of penny, when you have a million?  Let pennies come and go.  Know the wealth of the inner Self.

Need of Rituals

I might say that very few people can do without a personal conception of their ideal. There was once a highly metaphysical sect in Japan.  There were no ceremonies or temples. They believed that their egoes were like mirrors and that all they had to do was to keep the mirrors of their minds clean in order to reflect God. But,  eventually,  temples arose with large mirrors installed in them. Brushes were kept beside the mirrors and people would go to the temples and brush the mirrors,  to symbolize the cleaning of their egoes! It seems that people cannot go on for long without ceremonies of some kind. However, it is wise to allow ceremonies to grow - with a little rationalization.  This one was,  at least,  artistic!
